Dua for Good Luck in Islam
Islam teaches Muslims to recite supplications (duas) in every matter of life. Many supplications are conveyed through the Quran and Hadith, which include those for success, good luck, and blessings, as well as for protection from harm, evil eye, and for fulfilling one’s desires. By reciting these different duas, one can achieve their goals because Allah says in the Quran,
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:186):
- “And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.”
This verse emphasizes that Allah is always near to His servants and responds to their prayers when they call upon Him.
Dua for good luck in islam
This dua from the Quran is a beautiful supplication for goodness in both this life and the next
“Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
In a hadith, it is mentioned that when the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was asked to recite this verse, he said:
“Whoever makes this supplication, Allah will accept his prayer.”
Dua for success
At the time of the conquest of Makkah, when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ entered the city triumphantly, he displayed humility before Allah and did not show any pride or arrogance in victory. The Prophet ﷺ recited the following words:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، صَدَقَ وَعْدَهُ، وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ، وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ
Translation: “There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner. He fulfilled His promise, aided His servant, and alone defeated the confederates.”
This dua, when recited for any success, will lead to success in that matter by the will of Allah. Just as the Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah as a conqueror after being forced to leave his home, whether someone is forced out of their home, business, or job, if they recite this dua, insha’Allah, they will soon be successful with honor.
Dua for success in business
As you know, the significance of reciting “Bismillah” in Islam is immense. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed us to recite “Bismillah” before every permissible action, emphasizing that any task that begins with “Bismillah” will be blessed. Similarly, to make a business successful, one should frequently recite “Bismillah.” This practice not only brings blessings to the work but also serves as a reminder of seeking Allah’s guidance and support in all endeavors.
To achieve success in business, first, focus on your business and eliminate laziness. Work hard, remain committed to your prayers, and make supplications to Allah. For blessings in your business,
35 times and place it in your business location. Additionally, give charity and engage in good deeds. It is mentioned in Hadith that giving charity increases wealth. With Allah’s will, there will be abundant blessings.
Dua for gook luck in interview and exam
This dua was recited by Prophet Musa (Moses) when he was appointed by Allah to confront Pharaoh. It emphasizes seeking help in speaking clearly and effectively, especially in challenging situations.
Translation: “My Lord, expand for me my breast, ease for me my task, and untie the knot from my tongue so they may understand my speech.”
This dua is taken from a verse in the Quran. Reciting it three times before an interview, inshaAllah, will help boost your confidence in answering questions, eliminate fear of the interviewer, and improve fluency in your speech. Similarly, reciting it before an exam will also be beneficial.
Dua for allah’s help and protection
Similarly, there is another supplication, through the blessings of which Allah’s help will be included, and difficult matters will be resolved. This is because when a person entrusts their affairs to Allah and places their trust in His mercy, Allah, the Creator and Sovereign, rectifies their matters. That supplication is as follows…
Translation: “O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not leave me in charge of my own affairs even for the blink of an eye, and rectify all of my affairs. There is no deity except You.”
“Dua for Seeking Refuge from Trials and Calamities”
In Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, a specific supplication (dua) is mentioned that was recited by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This dua is particularly sought for protection from difficulties and calamities. If you feel you are facing a significant threat, reciting this dua can be beneficial through Allah’s mercy. It can also be recited to safeguard oneself from the schemes of enemies.
Translation: “O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the hardship of trials, from falling into misery, from a bad fate, and from the gloating of enemies.”
